  1. Eat
Be sure to eat ahead of time. Bring a snack if necessary.

  2. Kids
Try and avoid bringing them if possible! Most kids don't enjoy it much, and this allows you to focus on the home.

  3. Removing Shoes
Many home-owners request you to remove your shoes prior to viewing the home. Remember to wear socks, and loafers or shoes that are easy to take on and off.

  4. House Rules
Leave the house as you find it! Lock up any doors or windows, close the blinds, turn off the lights, avoid moving furniture, avoid touching any breakables, avoid the candy (how long has it been there??).

  5. Other Purchasers at House
There may be other purchasers viewing the house at the same time. At that point we may wait to give them privacy by looking around the back yard, or in another area of the house.

  6. Owners/Listing Agent at House
The owners or realtor may also be there, please be polite, and refrain from overly expressing your emotions! If you have questions, please ask your realtor.

  7. Appointments
Appointments are booked for 1/2 hour periods. Most homes request some notice prior to showing.

  8. Communication
To facilitate communication between us, if you do not have an answering machine, call Bell Canada to arrange for the computerized answering service called "Call Answer". It costs approximately $6.00/month and is well worth it. You will find a description of the service in the white pages. The number to call and order it is 416 310-2355.

  9. Offers
Be prepared to find your new home! Have the deposit money accessible; if necessary arrange an unsecured line of credit, prior to commencing the house buying process.
